At its roots, Casner Christian Academy is a school that loves and serves the Lord and the teachings of the Bible. The school believes that its main calling is to “train up a child in the way that he should go” (Proverbs 22:6) and Casner takes on that role as a blessing and privilege.
The whole school gathers for chapel once a week, and in this setting, biblical lessons and stories are taught to the children, childhood hymns are sung, and the students are guided in prayer. The birth week of each student is celebrated with a special birthday blessing and prayer unique to each child. Chapel is always a welcomed place for parents and families as well.
The lessons and biblical principles taught in chapel are extended into the classroom where they really come to life for the students. Practices such as a school-wide morning prayer at the flagpole, prayers before lunch, and simple bible verses integrated into school lessons help build a biblical foundation for all of the children at Casner.
