Amy Moore, Director
My name is Amy Moore and I am so honored to be Casner’s Director. I have a degree in Journalism from Baylor University and worked in public relations for several years before becoming a mother to our three sons and a full-time volunteer. Our boys had the privilege of attending Highland Park Baptist Preschool under the leadership of Lucille Casner, our legendary namesake, beginning in 2002. Ten years later I began subbing and ultimately teaching 4-year-olds here under the exemplary leadership of my mentor Gail Dabbs and have loved every minute of it! I cannot think of a happier place on Earth. Casner’s foundation of faith and traditions fills these halls with the love of Christ, family, country and community. The teachers, families, and students hold a special place in my heart, and I am forever grateful to play a part in passing down its important legacy to new generations.

Gail Dabbs, Headmaster Emeritus
Gail was honored to be the headmaster at Casner Christian Academy from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, she taught kindergarten and four-year-olds for 16 years. Both of her children attended CCA, so she values the traditions established at this wonderful school. She is thankful to be a part of the Casner Community and the Christian principles and traditions that are taught here. It is a blessing to her to watch each child learn in this loving environment.

Heidi Hovre, Office Manager
Ms. Hovre is the oldest of three sisters, an amazing artist and graduated from Texas State with a degree in Graphics Design. She loves all things Disney, where she worked in the Disney College Program after college graduation. Ms. Hovre brings joy and sunshine to our students and staff!

Brook Thompson, Admissions
Brooke and her husband just moved to Austin after living in the Houston area for 26 years. Brook has spent many years working in churches and preschools in administration, event planning and also as a Children’s Minister. Two of her children are in college and one is studying for his Masters in Psychology. Mrs. Thompson is a big blessing and excited to be at Casner.
